William Ray Salyers
William Ray Salyers, 78, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026. William was born on January 17, 1948 in War, West Virginia to Arvil and Virgie Salyers. He was a father, grandfather, and brother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
William is survived by two siblings, Calvin Salyers and Stacey Jo Gibson; four children, William Bruce Salyers, Melissa Sue (Shawn) Hill, Karen (James) Kinsey, and Brody Layne Hill, 10 grandchildren, Jessica McDonald, Sidney Salyers, Isabel Salyers, Gavin Hill, Garrett Hill, Blake Photisane, Kenneth Fenimore, Jonathan Fenimore, Steven Kinsey and Savanah Kinsey as well as 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father Arvil Salyers, his Mother Virgie Salyers, and a sister, Della May Salyers.
A graveside service to celebrate William’s life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 8:00am at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.
Marilyn Yvonne Troutt Bagby
Marilyn Yvonne Troutt Bagby, 82, passed into the arms of Jesus at her home on August 1, 2026. She was born on April 3, 1944 in Sheridan to John Loren and Louella Troutt.
In high school, Marilyn worked a weekend job at TG&Y in Little Rock. A coworker introduced her to the love of her life, Johnny. Marilyn graduated from Bryant High School in 1962. She and John married October 6, 1962. They worked hard together and built the home that they always dreamed of providing for their family. Together they had one son, Gordon, and one daughter, Julie. Marilyn was a talented seamstress and spent many hours in her sewing room. She adored her two grandchildren and spent approximately 1,092 Tuesdays over the course of 21 years taking them to the mall for Auntie Ann’s pretzels. She prayed over her loved ones every day during her walk, enjoying her Creator’s beauty and thanking Him for her many blessings. She worked at H&R Block, in investments and for a CPA for many years prior to helping daughter Julie at Bryant Bethel Physical Therapy, PA. There she was the smiling face at the front door, secretary, scheduler, chatter, bookkeeper and grandkid shuttle. John and Marilyn found a new hobby in ballroom dancing in their 70s and could frequently be found cutting a rug at the Senior Center.
Marilyn was an active member at First Southern Baptist Church in Bryant. It was her joy to teach the 2 year old Sunday school class for over 20 years. She poured the love of Jesus into each child that entered her classroom. She enjoyed singing in the choir as long as she was physically able. She has undoubtedly found her voice again and is praising her savior and creator in Heaven.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Johnny Bagby; son, Gordon Bagby; daughter, Julie (Neil) Gaiser; sisters Odessa (Henry) Hood and Charolette (David) Paul, “baby” brother Kelley (Dana) Troutt; grandchildren Kaitlin (Ben) Wood and Koltin (Madi) Gaiser, and great grandchildren Bennett, Myla, Trager, and Willow. When Alzheimer’s had taken almost everything from her, she still lit up at any photo shown or story told to her about the great grands. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louella Dixon; stepfather, Bruce Dixon; and her father, John Troutt. Her family would like to say a special thank you to Brenda Henderson (FAVOR Homecare) and Baptist Hospice.
Services will be Monday, August 10th. Visitation at 10 am with service to follow at 11:00 am at Ashby Funeral Home. 108 W Narroway, Benton, AR, 72015. Interment at 12 noon, at Pinecrest Cemetery, 7401 Hwy 5, Alexander, AR.

Doris Sutton Oliver
Doris Sutton Oliver age 83, of Bryant passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026. She was born July 11, 1943 in Bauxite. Doris was retired from Wabash Alloy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jasper Sutton and Bertina McBride Sutton; husband, William Douglas Oliver; son, Trent Oliver; daughter, Tina Wingate; and brothers, Derral Sutton and Doye Sutton.
Doris is survived by her brother, James Sutton; son-in-law, Mike (Melissa) Wingate; daughter-in-law, Susan (Doug) Gilliam; two grandsons, Justin (Erika) Oliver and Zach (Shelby) Oliver; two granddaughters, Shelby Wingate and Sydney (Jeremy) Huffman; and six great-grandchildren.
Family wants to give special thanks to Alcoa Pines for all the loving care and support during this time.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with services starting at 11:00 AM. Minister will be Bro Mike Titsworth. Burial will follow at Mt Olive Cemetery in Bauxite.
William Merle Singleterry
William Merle Singleterry passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1932 in Benton Arkansas to the late Merle W. and Mary (Dutch) Singleterry. He attended Benton High School and the University of Corpus Christi in Texas.
Merle is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Joyce Hill Singleterry of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; a brother, Bill of Benton, AR, son, Michael (Debbie) Singleterry, daughter-in-law Ramona Singleterry, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He loved each of his family members very much. He also loved Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa Singleterry, sons Gregory and Jeff Singleterry, and his sister, Carolyn Ferguson.
Employed by Reynolds Metals Company for 40+ years, he held Operations positions at 4 different refineries. Merle retired to Hot Springs Village in 1992 from the Worsley Aluminum Refinery in Western Australia as the Production Manager.
Merle followed most sports closely and enjoyed playing golf with his friends at every opportunity. After retiring, he was a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, attended the Faith and Fellowship Sunday School class and was a member of the Emmaus Community. He was a Stephen Minister for 3 years and frequently volunteered to help those in need.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Arkansas Chapter or Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, 700 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village, AR.
Rhonda June Tucker
Rhonda June Tucker, 72, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on August 2, 2026. She was born June 28, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was the wife of Marty A. Johnson. They shared 32 years of marriage together. She was a wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, sister, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Freda Tucker, a brother Freddy J. Tucker, two sisters Dianne Hartman and Lynn Harp.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Marty Johnson of Little Rock, daughter Kimberly Still (Mark) of Benton, and son Brian Brooks (Alisha), of Cabot. 6 grandchildren, Zack Jones (Devyn), Bailey Smith (Colton), Alison Shackleford (Stephen), Hannah Still, Alexis Brooks and Caleb Brooks, 9 great-grandchildren, Rylee Jones, Hadley Shackelford, Bentley Brooks, Cash Smith, SJ Shackleford, Ainsley Mosley, Max Hussung, Cohen Smith and Keaton Shackleford, 3 Siblings Judy McLawhorn, M.C. (Buck) Tucker and Jamie Tucker, and a slew of nieces and nephews that she loved.
She worked as a photographer for approximately 25 years, from Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee to California. She excelled in her field, working her way up from an entry-level position all the way to regional manager. She loved to watch the Razorbacks play; she loved listening to Conway Twitty, and there wasn’t one of his songs she didn’t know word for word.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., also at Smith Benton Funeral Home.

Martha Jeanette Loomis
Martha Jeanette Loomis, 83, of Prescott, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026, at home, surrounded by the family who adored her.
Martha was born in Prescott on February 25, 1943, to Fred and Thelma (Haynie) Bolls. She was the fourth of eight children.
In 1961, Martha married Bill Loomis. They celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary on June 30. Daughter Melissa was born in 1966, and Mandi joined the family in 1971.
Martha spent her professional life keeping other people organized. She served as church secretary at First Southern Baptist Church in Bryant, Pastor’s Secretary at Indian Springs Baptist Church, and Office Manager for Econocom and American Computer Solutions, Inc.
The work closest to her heart was done through her church. For more than forty years, Martha taught the 3-year-old Sunday School class, worked in church nurseries, and helped with Vacation Bible School. She and Bill always kept a watchful eye on their girls from the choir loft. She also maintained a birthday-card ministry for years, sending hundreds of cards and making sure people knew they were remembered.
Her family dubbed her “The Perfect Sister” because her house was spotless, her flower beds were beautiful, and she gave wonderful parties with fancy serving dishes and decorations. She directed weddings, organized countless church showers, sewed beautiful clothes for herself and her daughters, and made equally fashionable outfits for their Barbies. She was an excellent cook, especially known for her potato salad, and she wore lipstick and jewelry every day, even to mow the lawn.
Martha and Bill loved being with people. They played cards and dominoes with friends, enjoyed lots of travel over the years, and often had more social plans in a week than their daughters did. They were fun, relaxed, and always ready to enjoy good company.
Martha lived with Parkinson’s disease for ten years, and Bill never left her side. Even when she could no longer walk or feed herself, she never complained. Not even once.
Over and over, the people remembering Martha have used the same words: an amazing example of a godly woman. She was that example as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend. She quietly took care of people all her life, never seeking attention or praise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thelma (Haynie) Bolls, and her brothers, Jack Bolls, Charles Bolls, and Thomas “Buddy” Bolls.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bill Loomis; her daughters, Melissa Nesbitt and husband Matt, and Mandi Loomis; her grandchildren, Mason and Maya Nesbitt; her sisters, Mary Nell Rogers and husband Jerry, Barbara LaMastus, Dinah Rouse and husband Bob, and Debbie Bolls Whitlock; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Bolls and Kat Bolls. She is also survived by more than 100 nieces and nephews across four generations.
A celebration of Martha’s life will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1 p.m. at The Hill Barn in Bryant, Arkansas, with Brother Benny Grant officiating. A reception will follow immediately in the same space. Memorial markers will be placed at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Martha’s memory to The Michael J.
