Reverend Loyd White
Reverend Loyd White, 93, of Bryant, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home peacefully on July 2nd, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. He lived every day striving to get to Heaven to see Jesus. We know he has done that. We who loved him knew him as a husband, a PaPa, Pops, and Dad. He loved his kids and family with an unconditional love. He instilled morals and values and taught us anything worth having was worth working for. He led by example. His greatest gift wasn’t just unconditional love but the love of Christ and his desire to be a soul winner. He always said, “Winners never quit, and quitters never win.” Can’t wasn’t in his vocabulary.
He was born on June 29th, 1933, in Bigelow, Arkansas, to William and Myrtle Waddle White. He proudly served his country in the ARMY during the Korean War and was always proud to be a U.S. Veteran. He owned and operated several businesses during his life, including Hwy 5 Garage, White’s Trucking Company, and Old Reliable Realty. He would say his best job was being called into the ministry. He pastored several churches throughout Arkansas. He was currently the Pastor of Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Malvern. He loved his church and his church family. They were a big part of his life. He lived for every service. When it came to his church, he was like old postal carriers; neither rain, sleet, snow, nor storms would close the church doors. He never wanted to miss a soul that might need Jesus. He was also talented in music. He formed several gospel bands, his last being the Gospel Lights. They traveled the country singing and spreading God’s word.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl, the mother of his children; twin brother, Floyd White; brother, Bill White; sister, Gladys Baker; his son, Gary; grandsons: Darrel Cullipher, Kevin Wedge, and Jonathon Higgins. He was also preceded by two of his bonus children: Kathy Dudley and Raymond Tyler.
He is survived by his wife, Emma White of the home. Daughters: Diane Cullipher (Ed), Carla Burks (George), Ginger Rogers, Brenda Cole, Sheila Wise, and Kathy Fields; his sons: Loyd Ray White, John White (Tami), Allen Loyd White, Harold Fields (Dee); grandsons: Anthony Shepherd (Jessica), Allen White, Keith Cole (Ryan), Michael Cullipher, Gary Wedge, Joey Wedge (Cassie), Nick Fields (Rachel), Dalton Beller, Taylor Victory, Brayden Wise, and Andy White (Tonia); Granddaughters: Pamela Cullipher, Angie Wedge, Alisha Thompson, Katie Fields, Tiffany Douthitt; great grandkids: Londyn, Alexius, Karlee, Kash, Wyatt, Hayden, Gabby, Jackson, Major, Kennedy, Lydia, Jack, Avery, Anistyn, Gibson, Kolt, Deonna, Lacey, Laiklyn, Hannah, Harley, Braxton, Chevy, Nova, and Tynlea.
