The Royal Players will host open auditions for their highly anticipated holiday production in Benton – Frozen: the Broadway Musical. Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, by appointment at the First United Methodist Church. Read more below.
The auditions will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the choir room of the First United Methodist Church, located at 200 North Market Street in Benton. Those attending are instructed to enter through the Conway Street side entrance. An invited callback session is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m., with location details provided directly to those selected.
The theater group is seeking a diverse cast of performers of all races, ethnicities, identities, ages, and experience levels to reflect the local community. For this holiday production, roles are open to various ages, though organizers noted that no one under the age of 18 will be cast in the prominent roles of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, or Hans.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare a 16-to-32-bar song selection, lasting roughly one minute, that matches the style of the musical. Performers must provide their own accompanist track or instrumental version, and a speaker will be available in the audition room.
