Nominate an outstanding senior citizen. The Arkansas Department of Human Services’ Division of Aging, Adult and Behavioral Health Services (DAABHS) is seeking nominees for induction into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame. Read more below.

Through this program, the Division recognizes outstanding senior Arkansans who have served their communities and enhanced the lives of fellow Arkansas seniors. Seniors may be nominated by anyone.

“The Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame allows us to honor Arkansans who have made tremendous contributions to our state over the course of their lives,” said DAABHS Director Jay Hill. “It is a true privilege to learn about all of our nominees, and I look forward to honoring those who are ultimately selected for the Hall of Fame.”

To be considered for selection to the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame, nominees shall:
a.    be citizens of the State of Arkansas
b.    be at least 60 years old or older at the time of nomination, and
c.    have performed outstanding contributions or services, which have promoted, enhanced, and enriched the quality of life for citizens of Arkansas, especially Senior Arkansans.

There are two ways to obtain a nomination form. Nomination forms are available through local Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The nomination form can also be accessed online by clicking here.

The form will need to be completed and submitted to the local Area Agency on Aging (AAA) no later than September 14.

The outstanding older Arkansans will be inducted into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame at a ceremony in October in Little Rock.
