Pamela Jean Knoeferl
Pamela Jean Knoeferl, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. A woman who found her greatest joy in the quiet comforts of home, Pam’s life was defined by her gentle spirit, her creative hands, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Pam was happiest when she was at home, often found with a crochet hook in hand, creating beautiful pieces that reflected the care she put into everything she did. Her heart was especially soft for animals, and she found great companionship in her pets throughout the years.
Family and friendship were the cornerstones of Pam’s life. She is reunited in peace with her husband, David Knoeferl; her daughter, Sara Lopez; her parents, Edward and Naomi Heinlein; her brother, Burton Canute Jr.; and her dear best friends, Diane Collins and Jean Schofield.
Her legacy of love lives on through her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Knoeferl, whom Pam proudly adopted and raised as her own. She also leaves behind Athena Peters, who, though not a relative by birth, was a devoted caregiver and a woman Pam truly loved as a daughter.
Pam is also survived by her twin sister and best friend, Elizabeth Brown, and her husband Edward; her sister, Bonnie VanGelder, and her husband Keith; as well as her cherished nieces Nicole, Amber, Tammy, Jamie, and Kayla. Her memory will also be held dear by her many cousins and a community of friends who became family.
In accordance with Pam’s wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Friends and family are encouraged to share their favorite memories, photos, and expressions of sympathy on the funeral home’s tribute page.
