Johnny Dale Bone
Johnny Dale Bone, born November 1, 1947 passed away on May 4, 2026. He was a loving husband, fearless in the face of troubles, a Navy Veteran, and walked solely on his own terms. He had many friends because of his out-going personality and lived life to the fullest in his younger years, being fearless and reckless. He was a salesman most of his life, and an Investigator for the State.
His mother (Ella Faye Evans) passed away when he was a teenager, his father John Dillard Bone at 84 years old. His younger brother and sister, Jerry Bone and Cindy Miller also went before him.
Remaining of the Bone family are his brother, Charlie Bone, his nephews, Wesley and Corey Miller (Dora), with children Danica and Lincoln.
He wholeheartedly defended the ones he loved. His wife of 34 years, Marsena Bone, leaned on him even though his health was poor in his later years.
He leaves four children: Jeff Bone (Shannon); Jennifer Bradley; Rodney Pierce (Melissa) and Alicia Pierce Jones.
Some of the best times of his life with family were building and racing cars and motorcycles with his son, Jeff, and building, gaming & selling computers with his step-son Rodney.
His daughter, Jennifer remained always in his heart, even though he didn’t see her often. His step-daughter, Alicia, was a challenge as a teenager that he did not shy away from no matter how difficult.
Grandchildren are Sarah Bone Freeman (Jonathan) and 2 children (Rayna and Roman); Alexander Pierce; Aliyah Gillespie (Garrett) and child (Ariyah); Kyuna Jones; Levi Jones.
A special thanks to all the Veterans Home Primary Care team Shelly (APRN) and Danny (RN), who provided so much care, supplies, and equipment for Johnny. Also, a thank you to Elder Independence for supplying caregivers. Two of his favorites were Suzanne and Cynthia, who provided the best of care. Thanks to Tonda, his nurse at Elder, for great care and advice. Thanks to his Elite Hospice Nurses: Jennifer & Donna who provided excellent comfort care. A special thanks to Pastor Austin from Elite Hospice, who talked and prayed with Johnny as he gave his life to the Lord. All the people at Custom Aircraft Cabinets who prayed often for him and many, many more. It took an army – probably why sometimes Johnny heard the song “Onward Christian Soldiers” in his head.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, a service will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation.
