We told you last Fall that the Sonic Drive-In location in Benton would be demolished and would rise again. Well it did fall and we have video, but we also have news about it coming back.

This location of Sonic, at 1703 Military Road in Benton, Arkansas, has been so popular that they needed to build a bigger one. They closed the old building on October 31, 2025, knocked it down and began anew.
VIDEO OCT 30, 2025:
Owner David Hull stated they purchased some land behind them on Green Street that used to be Benton European, an auto mechanic. They also bought land next door that was previously owned by Duke Wholesale, an auto seller.

The franchise owner for this Sonic location purchased property adjoining its northwest and northeast boundaries. Outlined in orange is Duke Wholesale, which moved to 3305 Military Rd. Outlined in blue is Benton European, which moved to 2190 Congo Rd. In the green was just parking.
At the new location, Sonic will have two rows of canopies on the southeast side of the building, where there was only one before.
VIDEO DEC 1, 2026:
They are currently hiring and plan to open the parking spaces again on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. That’s the same day as the Primary Election so you can remember them together.
