The Saline County economy has been growing for decades, and sometimes we have several announcements at once. This article has a new Greek (and more) restaurant, a wing restaurant coming soon, an Indian restaurant that just opened, and another restaurant being demolished. Read more below.
And our last bit of restaurant news is not about something new. It’s a favorite hangout for corn dogs and milkshakes.
Sonic Drive-In at 1703 Military Road has been popular for decades, so why are they about to tear it down?
According to franchise owner David Hull, it’s just temporary, so they can rebuild it bigger. Bigger where?
Well, they’ve purchased the surrounding property beside them and behind them, so that should make plenty of room. Look for this location of Sonic to fall in October, and rise again like the Phoenix in February.
Meanwhile, if you need a chili dog or cherry-limeade fix, there are nearby locations at Highway 5 North in Benton between Salem Road and Alcoa Road, as well as in Bryant on Reynolds Road, south of the Post Office.
