ALEXANDER, AR — Authorities have identified the human skeletal remains discovered earlier this month in a wooded area within the Alexander city limits. Read more below.
According to Alexander Police Chief Tim Preator, the remains have been positively identified as Samuel Camron of Judsonia, Arkansas.
The Alexander Police Department and the Saline County Coroner’s Office are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who knew Mr. Camron or has any details regarding his recent whereabouts to come forward.

The investigation began on the morning of Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after the Alexander Police Department received a tip at approximately 8:00 a.m. regarding what appeared to be human bones in a wooded area off State Highway 111.
Responding officers confirmed the presence of skeletal remains at the scene, and they were subsequently recovered on May 6, 2026. The remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the individual’s identity and cause of death.
Authorities have not yet stated whether foul play is suspected in Mr. Camron’s death.

According to Alexander Police Chief Tim Preator, the department received a tip at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, reporting what appeared to be human bones in a wooded area off State Highway 111.
Officers responded to the location and confirmed the presence of skeletal remains.
