The Saline County Boys & Girls Club is cooperating with the Benton Police Department following a report that a staff member allegedly punched a child during an after-school program. Organization officials say they are taking the allegations seriously and providing authorities with building security footage to aid the ongoing investigation. Read more below.
CEO Heath Massey released a statement confirming that the organization is fully assisting local law enforcement. According to the statement, the club is making staff members available to police and granting full access to relevant security video.
Due to the active nature of the investigation and the need to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals involved, the organization stated it cannot share further details about the incident at this time. Massey emphasized that the safety and well-being of the club’s members and the surrounding community remain their top priorities.
“Our commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for every Club member remains unchanged,” Massey stated. He also expressed gratitude for the community’s continued trust and support of the children and families served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County.
