Community members, runners, and families can register for the annual “The Beat Goes On” 5K, returning to Benton on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026.
Proceeds from the 5K will directly benefit Saline Memorial Hospital’s new “Food is Medicine” Choice Pantry to support health and nutrition across Saline County. Read more below.
The annual 5K event, hosted in partnership with the Tea Rose Community Collaborative of Saline County, will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Saline Memorial Hospital Skybridge in Benton. The race features a flat, paved, USATF-certified course suitable for runners chasing personal records, casual walkers, and families.
All race proceeds will support the hospital’s new Food is Medicine Choice Pantry, an initiative providing healthy food items, recipes, and educational nutrition resources to help local residents achieve better health outcomes. Organizers noted that last year’s event sold out.
Pre-registration is available online for $25 for adults and $20 for children ages 12 and under, with race-day registration priced at $30. In-person participants will receive an official race T-shirt, a finisher medal, and access to free digital race photos.
To register or explore sponsorship opportunities, visit the official race page at runsignup.com/Race/AR/Benton/TheBeatGoesOn5K. More information regarding the pantry’s eligibility and resources is available at salinememorial.org.
