Riverdale Garden Club and Titus Women will meet jointly on Saturday, November 12th at 10 am, to clean up and winterize the Club’s “Flagpole Garden” at the Post Office, 2103 N Reynolds Rd, Bryant. This will be in lieu of the regular monthly meeting at the library.
The old annual plants will be pulled out and bagged up. The members will sweep up trash in and around the garden and post office parking lot. It hasn’t been decided yet, but we may add a small topping of bark when the area is clean. We will discuss trimming the perennial bushes that are there. We probably should wait until spring to trim so they will be in growth mode and not bare on top all winter.
If you want to join the group, the dues are $20 annually in the fall. These funds stay with Riverdale Garden Club and go toward garden projects. Trash bags and mulch will be provided from club funds. You might want to bring gloves and a rake or broom.
