Edna Maxine Rauch

Edna Maxine Rauch, 90, of Bryant, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Maxine was born on January 30, 1936, to Mitchell H. Haggard and Neva H. Austin. She was a faithful Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life. As a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bryant, she lived out her beliefs through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for others. Maxine will be remembered most for her unconditional love and her ability to see the good in everyone. She welcomed others without judgment, encouraged them freely, and made everyone she met feel valued and cared for. Her gentle spirit, genuine compassion, and selfless heart touched countless lives. Family was the center of Maxine’s life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal friend. Her greatest legacy is not found in material things but in the love she gave, the faith she lived, and the countless lives she influenced.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Allen Rauch Sr.; her son, Mark Rauch; her parents, Mitchell H. Haggard and Neva H. Austin; her brother, Barner Haggard; her sister, Marcia Rae Hughes, and brother-in-law, Bobby Dean Hughes; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wallace and Christine Bennett and Kenneth and Christine Rauch; and her cousins, Manuel Haggard, Cecilia Holt, and Anna Belle Ladd.

She is survived by her son, George Allen Rauch Jr. and his wife, Tammie, of Cave Springs, Arkansas; her daughter-in-law, Natalie Rauch, of Mabelvale, Arkansas; her brother, Travis Haggard, of Sherwood, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Amanda Bryant and her husband, Kyle, of Bryant, Arkansas; Justin Rauch and Charlie Sahr, of Little Rock, Arkansas; Jenna Collier and her husband, Michael, of Bismarck, Arkansas; Whitney Rushton and her husband, Bradley, of Summerville, South Carolina; and Nathan Miles and his wife, Dana, of Elm Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by her cousin, Bobbie Ruth Gray, of Chatham, Illinois; eight nieces and nephews; twelve great-grandchildren; her cherished church family, many dear friends, extended family, and her beloved cat, Bo.

Pallbearers will be Justin Rauch, Austin Hill, Brent Bennett, Nathan Miles, Chris Bennett, and Brayden Williams.

Maxine’s life was a beautiful example of faith, grace, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, the legacy she leaves behind will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her love, kindness, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire generations to come.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday at Bryant First Baptist Church with a visitation from 10:00 TO 10:30 before the service. Minister will be Bro. Phillip Miller and Bro.Todd Self. Burial will be at 1:45 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery,1504 North J.P. Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

Janice Marie Howard

Janice Marie Howard, 76, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was born on August 26, 1949, in Dumas, Arkansas, to Frank Howard and Verna Gail Gentry, who preceded her in death.

After graduating from high school, Janice continued her education by taking business courses that prepared her for a successful career. She began working for AT&T as a drafting clerk and dedicated many years to the company before retiring. During her time there, she was known for her strong work ethic and formed many lasting friendships.

Outside of work, Janice enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching the Olympics. In her younger years, she loved playing softball and painting. Later in life, she found joy in coloring intricate designs, playing Bingo, and spending time doing the things that brought her peace and happiness.

Janice was known for her quick wit, determination, and fun-loving personality. Family and friends often described her as funny, energetic, and a little hardheaded in the best way. Her outgoing nature earned her the nickname “The Mayor” at Foxridge. She knew everyone by name, and if you wanted to know something about someone, chances are Janice already knew. She never met a stranger and loved visiting with everyone she met.

Above all else, Janice loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Her memory is left to be cherished by her children: Melinda Bradbury, Jana Lane (Jackie), Larry Bradbury (Karen); 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Pat, Edie, Linda, and Barbara; numerous nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.

Janice will be remembered for her laughter, her creativity, her kindness, and the genuine way she connected with everyone she met. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
