ACDI is celebrating National Drive Electric Month by offering free public electric vehicle charging at its headquarters in downtown Benton from now through Oct. 12.
This initiative aims to increase awareness of electric transportation and make EV charging more accessible in Central Arkansas. Read more below.
Throughout the month-long initiative, EV drivers can visit ACDI headquarters, located at 403 N. Main St. in Benton, to recharge their vehicles at no cost. National Drive Electric Month is a nationwide campaign designed to raise public awareness about the benefits of electric transportation.
“Electric transportation becomes much more tangible when people can see and experience the infrastructure in their own communities,” ACDI CEO Josh Lane said. “Offering free charging at our headquarters is a simple way for us to support EV drivers in Central Arkansas while continuing the conversation around what accessible charging infrastructure can look like.”
Through ACDI Energy Services, the organization assists businesses and institutions in planning, deploying, and managing EV charging networks through a turnkey model combining hardware, software, services, and financing. The charging stations at the Benton headquarters provide a local demonstration of the solutions ACDI implements nationwide.
