The Boys & Girls Club of Saline County has been awarded a $25,000 Community Grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to support its local youth initiatives in Benton.
The funding comes as part of a record $32 million nationwide investment aimed at expanding educational and career opportunities for young people. Read more below.
The grant awarded to the Benton-based organization will directly finance its “After School & Summer” program, which provides local youth with mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and academic support throughout the year.
The funding was facilitated through K-MAC Enterprises, a major Taco Bell franchisee that operates quick-service restaurants across 10 states. K-MAC contributed more than $1.4 million in Community Grant funding this year, including nearly $400,000 distributed to 15 nonprofit organizations across Arkansas.
In the Central and Southern Arkansas region, nine youth-serving organizations received a combined total of $237,690.
“We’re proud to continue partnering with the Taco Bell Foundation to support organizations that are making a difference in the lives of young people across Arkansas,” K-MAC Enterprises CEO Tina Reagan said.
“Our customers and restaurant team members play an important role in the effort, and we’re grateful for their continued generosity and commitment to giving back through the Round Up program in our restaurants.”
The Taco Bell Foundation’s Community Grants are fueled largely by restaurant customers who choose to round up their order totals to the nearest dollar at checkout. Local check presentations were held throughout the summer featuring Taco Bell team members, nonprofit representatives, and participating youth.
“These grants are especially meaningful because they connect the resources of the Taco Bell Foundation’s Round Up program directly with organizations serving young people in our own communities,” K-MAC Enterprises COO Meghan Simonsen said.
