The Royal Players community theater group is seeking volunteer scare actors and crew members for the 7th annual Royal Haunted House in downtown Benton. The seasonal attraction, set inside the historic Royal Theatre, will run on select dates from Oct. 15 through Oct. 31. Read more below.
Organizers are recruiting volunteer actors ages 11 and older to participate in cast roles for the haunt, regardless of previous scare acting experience. In addition to performance roles, the organization is looking for volunteers to assist with set construction prior to opening and teardown following the event’s conclusion.
The Royal Haunted House, located at 111 S. Market St. in historic downtown Benton, was rated the No. 1 haunted attraction in the state on ArkansasHauntedHouses.com last year. The attraction utilizes the historic theater venue to create its annual seasonal experience.
All positions for the event are volunteer roles with no financial compensation provided. The haunted house will be open to the public Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or later between Oct. 15 and Oct. 31.
