Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and The EMpact One Foundation has decided that’s a pretty good excuse to spend the day playing Wiffle Ball.
The 3rd Annual HalloWiffle Wiffle Ball Tournament returns Saturday, October 31, and this year EMpact One is teaming up with Bryant Fall Fest to make the tournament part of a full day of Halloween fun at Bishop Park.
Games begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Bishop Park Softball Fields, 6401 Boone Road in Bryant.
HalloWiffle is designed for just about everybody—friends, families, coworkers, church groups, businesses, sports teams or that one group of people who has been waiting entirely too long for an opportunity to prove its Wiffle Ball dominance.
And actual Wiffle Ball talent? Completely optional.

“We’ve always said no actual skill is required for HalloWiffle—you just have to be prepared to have fun,” said Bekka Wilkerson, Executive Director of The EMpact One Foundation. “This year, partnering with Bryant Fall Fest gives us the opportunity to make it even more of a community event. We’re hoping to fill those fields with teams of all ages who may be competitive, may be completely ridiculous, or may be a little bit of both.”
The tournament will feature a double-elimination format, with brackets organized based on the number of entries, ages and teams’ levels of seriousness.
In other words: Don’t let the team that has matching uniforms scare you away.
Whether your team arrives with a strategy and a batting order or figures out who is playing first base approximately 30 seconds before the first pitch, there’s a place for you at HalloWiffle.
The tournament is also about much more than what happens on the field.
Proceeds benefit The EMpact One Foundation, a Central Arkansas nonprofit working to remove financial and logistical barriers that keep young people from participating in sports and other extracurricular activities. Through programs including Tuition Assistance and the Mobile Sports Locker, EMpact One helps provide children with access to activities and the equipment they need to participate. EMpact One
