Bryant First United Methodist Church [FUMC] held their 2nd Annual Karaoke Fundraiser for the Bryant Police and Fire Departments and the agencies went home with a total of $1800. Read and see the photo gallery below.
Individual donations raised $1300. The Church added an additional $500 so that each department got $900 for their favorite charity.
The Bryant Fire Department said they would allocate $900 to The Bryant Rotary Kids Closet. The Bryant Police Department said their $900 would go to Arkansas Special Olympics.
Last year the Fire Department took the first place trophy in the sing-off, and this year the Police Department won – with a little help from a tiny girl with a big voice.
The Family Life Team prepared a taco and nacho bar for everyone who came. Karaoke DJs Jimmy B and Vicki Baldridge handled the music.
The Children’s Ministry at FUMC made stuffed animals to give to officers to keep in the trunks of the police cars. When a child is in the middle of a tough situation, these stuffies will give comfort them.
