Young anglers will have the chance to cast their lines and learn the basics of fishing during the 2026 Youth Fishing Spring Camp hosted by Benton Parks & Recreation. Read more below.
The camp is offered in partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and will feature two sessions:
-
Session 1: March 9–13, 2026
-
Session 2: March 16–20, 2026
The program is open to boys and girls ages 6–15 and will include both indoor instruction and onsite fishing opportunities.
Camp organizers say the program is designed to help children engage with the outdoors while learning foundational fishing skills, including how to set up a fishing pole and properly cast. All fishing poles and equipment will be provided.
Parent involvement is encouraged.
