Thursday high in mid-60s; rain returns for weekend in Saline County

Thursday weather looks mild and sunny, with rain returning through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

Rain chances leave Saline County just after early Thursday morning to head southeast. Forecast high Thursday afternoon will be around 67; low around 55.

Showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast Friday, persisting through much of Sunday. Rainfall amounts of a half to over 2 inches are forecast, with the heaviest rainfall expected across central to eastern Arkansas, and mainly on Saturday.
