Very cold Arctic air will move into the state beginning Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. This cold is expected to persist well into next week. Dangerous wind chills will be possible over portions of the state on Sunday morning and again on Monday morning. While highly uncertain, there is potential for winter weather next week.
Forecast minimum wind chill values will range from the single digits to teens over the northern third of the state with 20s elsewhere.
