Beverly Ann Loyd Hawkins
Beverly Ann Loyd Hawkins, 73, of Haskell, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born July 16, 1953 in Benton, Arkansas. Beverly retired from Saline Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Herman Eugene Hawkins JR; son, Christopher Robin Hawkins (Tami), daughter, Brandy Danyelle Beaty (Randy); grandsons, Christopher Blake Hawkins, Hunter Ryan Hawkins, & Lane Wyatt Beaty; granddaughter, Braxton LeighAnn Beaty; sisters, Peggy Butler & Mary Miller (Bobby); brothers William Loyd Jr (Laurie) & Robert Loyd; sister-in-law Ola Bramlett; cousins Patricia, Sandy, & Katherine; a host of nieces & nephews; a host of friends throughout her lifetime; and her long time best friend, Belinda Boshears
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Sr & Sallie Mae Loyd; father & mother-in-law, John & Ruby Tully; brothers-in-law, James Butler & Jim Bramlett; and a sister-in-law, Janice Loyd.
She loved playing bunko, going to the casinos, animals, watching Casper & Due (horses) and her dogs Jazzie & Cruizer. Her most favorite days were day dates with her sisters, lunch and shopping. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Her most favorite memories of them were swimming days and pizza lunches by the pool.
Pallbearers will be Blake Hawkins, Hunter Hawkins, Lane Beaty, Randy Beaty, Donny Beaty, Jake Brooks, Glen Loyd, and Jesse Loyd.
Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Jason Finley will be officiating.

Jeffery Brian Gilson
Jeffery Brian Gilson, 64, of Bauxite, Arkansas, passed away September 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 23, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Tommy Gilson and Brenda (Burroughs) Spence.
Jeffery worked for Ketcher Roofing, where he truly loved his job and the guys he worked alongside. More than just coworkers, they were an important part of his life, and he valued the friendships he made through the years.
Anyone who knew Jeffery knew his passion was cars—especially Mustangs. He was extremely knowledgeable about cars and could often be found tinkering with one, working on a project, or rebuilding something from the ground up. He simply loved anything to do with cars and enjoyed sharing that interest with others.
Jeffery also enjoyed going to Arkansas Travelers baseball games and spending time with his family at Lake Hamilton. Whether it was a day at the ballpark, time at the lake, or simply being surrounded by the people he loved, those were the moments that meant the most to him.
Above all, Jeffery will be remembered for the kind of friend he was. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help someone in need. If you needed the shirt off his back, Jeffery would have given it to you without a second thought. His friendship was genuine, his heart was big, and those fortunate enough to know him knew they had a friend they could count on.
Jeffery leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kim Gilson; daughter, Jessica Gilson; step-son, Brandon Howie; father, Tommy Gilson and wife Hazel; mother, Brenda Spence; brother, Steve Gilson and wife Robbie; sister, Michelle Heavener and husband Jeff; his special fur baby, Daisy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who love Jeffery and will miss him always.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 18, from 4:00–6:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.

Linda Kay Nutt
Linda Kay Nutt, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was born on August 5, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Clarence and Pearl Crudgington.
Linda was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and Nana. Linda and her husband, Walter Daniel Nutt, shared 59 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Linda loved baking bread, gardening, and taking care of her family. She found joy in caring for those around her, and her family was her greatest treasure. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the generations.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pearl Crudgington; her brother, Thomas Crudgington; and her sister, Eva Elizabeth Lequieu.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Daniel Nutt; three children, Shannon Giddens (George), Shawn Shuffield (Doug), and Samantha Nelson (Rusty); six grandchildren, Joshua Shuffield, Megan Solomon (Jordan), Molly Gilliland (Justin), Matthew Daniel Hargrave (Veronica), Michael Shane Hargave, and Barrett Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lynn Hargrave, Jace Ryan Hargrave, and Rylee Jade Hargrave; one sister, Rose Mary Meadows; along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Linda will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she cared for and the family she loved so dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
