The Saline County Fair Association is hosting its fourth Flea Market and Trade Day on Saturday, August 15, offering a diverse array of local merchandise, crafts, and food.
Proceeds from this free event will directly fund ongoing efforts to rebuild and improve the Saline County Fairgrounds. Read more below.
The community fundraiser, themed “Rebuilding Together,” is 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, at 406 Fairfield in Benton. The event will take place rain or shine, because the indoor vendor buildings are fully air-conditioned.
Shoppers can expect to find a wide variety of goods, including:
- yard sale items,
- flea market finds,
- crafts,
- antiques,
- fresh produce,
- eggs,
- animals, and
- animal supplies.
Come hungry, because the Homemakers Extension kitchen and concession stand will be open, serving a variety of foods and treats to raise additional funds for the rebuilding project.
If you’d like to be a vendor, indoor and outdoor vendor spaces are still available. A 12×12-foot outside space costs $25, while a 10×10-foot inside space is $50. The spaces do not include tents, tables, chairs, electricity, or water, and all booth rental proceeds go directly toward the fairgrounds.
Vendor setup is scheduled for Friday evening from 4:30-7:00 p.m., and Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. Participating businesses are required to meet all standard licensing requirements, and animal vendors must comply with applicable regulations.
Upcoming Flea Market and Trade Days are scheduled for September 26, October 24, and a two-day event on November 6 and 7. Interested vendors or attendees can request information by texting 501-860-3101, emailing [email protected], or visiting the association’s online registration form.
