Saline County Coroner Kevin Cleghorn was recently appointed Treasurer of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME).
Cleghorn began his career with the Saline County Coroner’s Office in 2007, was promoted to Chief Deputy Coroner in 2011, and was elected Coroner in 2014. He is nationally certified and brings extensive experience from his years of service in emergency medical services.
“It is an honor for me to serve Saline County as your Coroner,” said Cleghorn, “but to take Saline County to an international level and represent at the table with this industry’s leading professionals is a humbling experience. I never dreamed as I started my career with Saline County in 2007 that I would find myself where I am today. To the citizens of Saline County, thank you for trusting me and I pray I honor you well.”
The Saline County Coroner’s Office operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to determine the cause and manner of death with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. The office works closely with law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel, the Arkansas State Crime Lab, chaplains, and families during their most difficult times.
Coroner Cleghorn’s appointment places Saline County among international leaders in forensic and medicolegal practices—demonstrating the county’s continued commitment to excellence in public service.
