We all love the Saline River, and even more when it’s clean. That’s why there’s a cleanup event on September 13th. The Saline River is a favorite spot for canoeing, fishing, and family gatherings, and keeping it clean ensures future generations can enjoy it, too.

The Saline River will be the focus of some hometown care on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Saline River Canoe and Arkie Travels are hosting this event. Locals are invited to come meet at Lyle Park in Benton and jump on the SRC shuttle to different river access points.

They’ll provide gloves and trash bags – just bring yourself and friends and family! After the cleanup, everybody will head back to Lyle Park for a free lunch to celebrate our hard work. Read more at the SRC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/canoearkansas.
