A 50-year-old man was arrested by the Benton Police Department on a charge of internet stalking of a child following an incident at a local restaurant. Read more below.
Jack Pittenger was booked into the Saline County Detention Center on June 29, 2026, and is currently being held on a $40,000 bond.
According to a social media post by a group known as Arkansas Pred Catchers, Pittenger was apprehended at a Slim Chickens restaurant in Benton. The group alleged in their post that the 50-year-old intended to meet a 15-year-old girl to take her virginity.
Arkansas Pred Catchers also stated that Pittenger is known to frequent comic conventions and cosplay events dressed as the character Deadpool. The group stated they plan to release full video footage of the encounter on their YouTube channel (link below to their post).
Saline County Detention Center records confirm Pittenger was booked at 6:31 p.m. on June 29, 2026. He remains unreleased at this time. Authorities note that the charges and bail amounts are subject to change following court appearances. Watch MySaline for any updates to this story.
