Hank’s Rescue is organizing a 100-dog spay/neuter drive for low-income Saline County residents, in response to recent community need. Read more below.
If you’ve never heard of Hank’s Rescue, this organization is the one in Hot Springs that was able to take the mother dog and two pups from the home where several other dogs fatally attacked a teen girl.
The following message from Hank’s Rescue explains their offer:
Hank’s will cover the cost of spay and neuter services for qualified low income families. Perhaps you see a neighbor struggling with too many dogs? Perhaps you find a stray, you are willing to take them in but need help with the spay or neuter cost? We want to help assist with these situations.
How can you contribute?
If you know someone who may not understand the importance of spaying/neutering, please educate and give them our contact information to make a spay appointment. If you know someone lacks transportation to make it to a spay appointment, kindly assist if you can. Alternatively, we will provide transportation to qualified applicants.
Again, this is for low income families, the people that really need this assistance.
Our community faces an overwhelming stray population, and spaying/neutering is the number one solution. Please help us create a safer community for everyone, including our four-legged friends.
We are working to get an application available on our website at hanksrescue.com.
In the meantime, you can request spay/neuter assistance by emailing/or texting a brief summary of your needs and circumstances.
Please include your first and last name, number of pets, location, and good contact information for you.
