It’s time for the 23rd Annual Ralph Bunche Back-to-School Picnic. Read all the details below.
Backpacks, Confidence & Community are the theme for this event every year. Organizer Shannon Winston stated, “We aren’t just handing out school supplies — we’re empowering families and building community all year long.”
WHAT:
Every year, the Back-to-School Picnic brings smiles, confidence, and connection through:
- Free backpacks
- Free school supplies
- Free clothes & shoes
- Hot dogs and cold drinks
- Snowcones
- Face painting
- Water slides
- Games
- Music
- Community resources
- Giveaways
- Year-round support & more
- But we can’t do it without YOU.
WHO:
Everyone is welcome. Bring your kids, your neighbors and your good vibes.
The Ralph Bunche Community Action Committee is calling on the community heroes to help continue this mission.
You can volunteer your time, donate supplies, clothing, or funds. You can also be a sponsor or partner.
WHEN/WHERE:
The picnic will be held this year at Ralph Bunche Community Center on Saturday, August 2nd, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The address is 1600 Dixie St, Benton, AR 72015.
