Paul Douglas McCutcheon
Paul Douglas McCutcheon age 75, of Benton, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. He was born March 18, 1951 in Benton. Paul was a retired police officer with 37 years of service at the Benton Service Center, and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lawrence McCutcheon and Oliva Clark McCutcheon, three sons, Kevin, Darren Scott, and Paul Aaron McCutcheon, two sisters, Nancy Simpson and Joyce Taylor.
Survivors, wife, Angela Diane Barron McCutcheon, daughter, Brandie Maldonado, brothers, Don, Larry, Stuart, and Joe McCutcheon, two grandsons, Blake McCutcheon and Antonio Maldonado.
Paul’s hobbies were woodworking and pen making. He loved to travel on trips to the mountains, to Disney World, Wyoming and Colorado with family. His greatest lesson was to never take a loved one’s life for granted, always knowing God’s blessings will come when asked and needed.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Ministers will be Bro. Bob Weigel, Bro. Braden Carmon, and Bro. Don McCutcheon.
Pallbearers will be Sean McCutcheon, Allen Leible, James Linker, Todd Ruckerman, Levi Jackson, Casey Phillips, and Jody McCutcheon.
Michael Dean Brown
Michael Dean Brown, age 58, of North Little Rock, formerly of Benton, left this world September 4, 2026. He was born February 14, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Arkansas when he was 11. He attended Bryant High School. He drove a truck for Quality Foods, later he drove for Martin Brower. When he got cancer in 2020 he could not continue his 28+ year career. He became a school bus driver and drove often with his chemo attached to his belt. Michael made friends easily and touched many lives through his kind giving loving nature. He always had a smile and story to tell.
Michael is survived by his loving fiancé, Angi Taylor; two biological children, Abriya Brown and Couper Brown; and his step-son, Kanyon Aultman. He is also survived by two siblings, Kimberly M Moore (Jim), and half-brother, Stanley Brown (Regina); and many cousins, niece, and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Brown and Judith Ann Boyd Brown; his brothers, Jeffrey Eugene Brown and Markus Wayne Brown; his sister Lori Ann Brown; and a step-daughter, Vectorya Hernandez.
Michael will be sorely missed for his helpful generous spirit, his humor and his patience.

Albert Taylor Pyle
Albert Taylor Pyle, 92, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026.
Born January 17, 1934, to Taylor Burton and Mary Olene Pyle, Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jimmy Craig, his sister Mary Ann Parker, and his beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy Pyle.
Albert is survived by his wife, Nina; his brother, Fred Kirkpatrick; his four daughters, Becky Riddle (Russ), Christy Hopper (Mike), Diana New (Byron), and Pam Horton (Donald); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
After moving from Forrest City to Little Rock, Albert worked at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, where he met Nancy and danced his way into her heart. He later became a Master Electrician and owned his own contracting business.
Together, they raised four daughters—Becky, Christy, Diana, and Pam—and instilled in them valuable life skills, a strong work ethic, and the independence to make their own way.
After Nancy’s passing, Albert married Nina, and they shared eight years together filled with giggles and RV adventures. Albert also became part of Nina’s family and shared a special bond with her daughters, Sonya, Julie, and Leeah.
Albert was easy to recognize with his baby blue eyes and unforgettable smile. He’ll be remembered for his humor, unmistakable snicker, chin chuckles, signature “horse bite”, bunny-ear photo bombs and countless stories.
He was steadfast and determined, always ready with a story and a laugh. And, of course, many recall his famous Kilroy, which he would proudly accompany with the words, “Kilroy was here.”
What started as his little quirks and traditions became traditions we carried on in our own families, keeping a piece of him alive in the generations that follow.
Albert’s greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind and the many memories he created along the way. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Kilroy was here, Albert was here.
Albert’s life will be celebrated with visitation from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Sandstone Drive Church of Christ, 13300 Sandstone Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206, with burial following at Salem Cemetery in East End.
Danny Ray Horn
Danny Ray Horn, 64, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 3, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1962 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Ray and Barbara Horn.
Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and white-water rafting. Danny was a graduate of Bauxite High School. He attended cooking school at Ouachita Tech and was a chef. Danny was a talented artist and very mechanical. He could do most anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed reading, especially history novels.
Danny attended Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. He studied the Bible and always was ready to share the love of God.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Barbara (Wilson) Horn; grandparents: Roland Wilson and Bonnie Wilson of Benton and W. Vasco Horn and Edna Horn of Bauxite.
He is survived by his siter, Leslie Hobby and husband Gary Hobby; nephew, Kyle Robinson and his wife Caitlyn; step-daughter, Tina Coppock and her husband Ernie; and his beloved fur baby dogs: Sasha, Scout, Skipper, and Mila. He also leaves behind a host of friends and family he loved and always cherished.
Celebration of Life service to be held at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, Monday, September 14, at 6:00 PM.

Felis Maria Garcia
Felis Maria Garcia, age 74, of Benton, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026. She was born on February 14, 1952, in Tequila, Mexico. Felis was a resident of Benton since 1972.
Felis was a devoted mother and homemaker whose greatest joy in life was her family. She was blessed with a small family, but the love she had for them was anything but small. Her four children were the center of her world, and she spent her life making a home filled with love, memories, and the comfort of family.
Felis worked for PPG for more than 30 years before retiring. She was a hardworking woman who took great pride in providing for and caring for her family.
Outside of work, Felis had many things she enjoyed. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, shopping, traveling, and gardening. She could often be found creating something with her hands or preparing something special in the kitchen. If she wasn’t in the kitchen or her sewing room, you could probably find her in her garden, tending to her plants and enjoying the beauty she created. She also loved taking pictures, especially when they captured moments and memories with the people she loved.
Felis was born into the Catholic faith, and she held onto that faith throughout her life, nurturing a deep and lasting relationship with God and carrying her faith with her through every season of life.
Felis will be remembered for her love of family, her hardworking spirit, her creativity, and the countless ways she made a house feel like home. She leaves behind not only the memories she created, but the love she planted in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Judy Garcia, Anabel Chisum, Jason Garcia, and Julio Garcia; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister; two brothers; and numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Though her hands may no longer be busy creating, cooking, sewing, or tending her garden, the love she poured into her family will continue to grow for generations to come.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
