Families across Central Arkansas are invited to enjoy a free, fun-filled day outdoors at Jake’s Day, hosted by the Central Arkansas chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).
The event will take place Friday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smoke N’ Chips Clay Shooting Park, located at 451 10 Mile Road in Hot Springs.
Designed to introduce youth to outdoor recreation in a safe and welcoming environment, Jake’s Day offers hands-on experiences and activities for kids of all ages. Best of all, kids shoot free.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including:
- Sporting clays
- Archery
- Additional outdoor skills and activities
Each child will also receive free prizes and a hat while supplies last.
Food will be provided at no cost, thanks to a sponsorship from Riverside Grocery & Catering.

Organizers say the event is a great opportunity for families to unplug, spend time together, and help young people build confidence and skills in the outdoors.
