Creativity takes center stage this April at the Saline County Library with two opportunities to create and celebrate art: the Tiny Art Showand a Local Artist Showcase.
The Tiny Art Show, open to all ages, invites participants to create their own miniature masterpiece. Beginning April 1, patrons can pick up a free 3” x 3” canvas at any Saline County Library branch while supplies last. Artists are encouraged to use any medium (paint, collage, mixed media, and more) to bring their artwork to life. Completed pieces must be returned to the library by Saturday, Aprill 11 and will be displayed throughout April 13 – 30. Patrons are invited to vote for their favorite tiny art pieces. Paintings will be divided into four seperate age groups for voting.
The library will also host a Local Artist Showcase on Saturday, April 11, offering a space for adult artists to display and sell their work. This event is for all ages to attend and will feature talented local creators. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic styles, connect with artists, and purchase unique, locally made pieces.
The library welcomes interested art exhibitors to apply to the showcase by completing the following submission form: www.salinecountylibrary.org/artist-submission-form/.
