Parkway Drug officially opened its doors Monday, establishing a new independent pharmaceutical option along the Bryant Parkway corridor. The 3,600-square-foot facility, located at 4707 Bryant Parkway, Alexander, was constructed to provide prescription services and patient consultations to residents in Bryant and surrounding Saline County. The new pharmacy sits on a two-acre lot within the Shoppes at Dogwood Springs commercial development. It was founded by Jon Martin, who also owns Bryant Family Pharmacy, as an expansion of independent pharmacy services within the county. According to Martin, the new location is intended to mirror the patient-centered operational model established at his existing facility.
Josh Landrum, PharmD, has been appointed as the lead pharmacist for the new location. Landrum, a Bryant resident since 2008, brings 23 years of professional pharmacy experience to the role, having graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy in 2003. Prior to taking the helm at Parkway Drug, Landrum served as the pharmacist-in-charge at a regional grocery store pharmacy chain.
“For me, this isn’t just a job — it’s the place my family has called home for nearly two decades,” Landrum said, noting his long-standing ties to local schools and community institutions. He expressed that his goal is to establish an environment where patients feel trusted and comfortable during their visits.
The pharmacy operates under the promotional slogan “Pharmacy That Cares. Close To Home.” Management has announced plans to host a community grand-opening event in early September. The public celebration is scheduled to feature family-oriented activities, giveaways, and food trucks. Additional details regarding the grand opening will be published on the pharmacy’s official Facebook and Instagram channels, as well as on its website, ParkwayDrugBryant.com.
