Stephen L. “Steve” Jackson, 73, of Traskwood, Arkansas, passed away February 20, 2026. He was born on July 5, 1952, in Benton Arkansas, to the late Cecil and Ruby Jackson.
Steve graduated from Bauxite High School. Before retiring, he devoted many years to the Benton Water Department. He was an active member of Salem Church of Christ. He loved nature and being outdoors. He was happiest while watching the deer from his living room window. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Music and fellowship were also big parts of his life. He enjoyed playing the guitar whenever he could. Steve was a true jokester. He loved playing jokes and pranks on his friends and family. He often watched the show, Impractical Jokers as well as Ridiculousness. Anyone who visited him over the last 15 years could count on finding him watching either of those shows with a grin on his face. Steve never met a stranger and will be remembered for his quick wit and contagious smile.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his beloved son, Blake Jackson, and his brothers, Michael and Ronnie Jackson.
He is survived by his sister, Merilene Avaritt of Benton; son Kyle Jackson, son and daughter-in-law, Daron and Christi Jackson; grandchildren, Devon Jackson , Savannah Jackson, Joe and Jacie Murdock, Dossen Jackson, and Ladonna Jackson, 4 nieces and 1 nephew. Steve cherished his loyal dog, Repete, who was always by his side and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25 at Ashby Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Sheridan, Arkansas.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loved one, Arthur Eugene Dillard, age 89, of Benton, Arkansas, on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 16, 1936, in Crosby, Texas. Arthur (Gene) was a man of great vision and integrity. A lifelong entrepreneur and successful inventor, Arthur exemplified moral character, uncompromising ethics, and a passion for life. His legacy will impact many generations to come. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling, hunting, and snow skiing. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Gloria Dillard; his children, Avis (J.C.) Halbert, Marcus (Renea) Dillard, Michael (Flynn) Dillard, Melissa (Dale) Adams, and Richard (Deanna) Stiles; his former wife and mother of his children, Bobbie Fay Wright; his brother, John Ray Dillard; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Arthur is preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry Grady and Mildred Isabell Dillard; his sister, Nancy Lee Johnston; and his brother, Robert Lee Dillard.
Arthur will be remembered for his wisdom and generosity toward others, as well as his belief that success meant more than business achievements – it meant making a difference in the lives of others. His laughter, guidance, and kindness will be greatly missed but forever treasured.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roller Alcoa Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Hospice Care Center for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
