Adult Art StudioDate: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Start your morning with a guided creation to take home with you! All supplies will be provided.

Storytime Fun!Date: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Storytime Fun is a storytime program intended for ages 3-5, though all are welcome. It will include stories, songs, some puppets and a craft or gross motor activity to prepare preschool friends for kindergarten. Storytime Fun will help with developing children’s social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical skills and get them ready for school!
Makerspace Open HoursDate: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Drop by the Makerspace to explore our amazing array of materials and equipment. Work on a project or learn something new! During Open Hours, the Makerspace serves as an open workspace filled with various tools, materials, and equipment for independent creative work. Bring a project you’re working on, or come with your imagination and create to your heart’s content. Take home what you make! For a full list of Makerspace equipment and rules, visit our Makerspace page on our website. Children ages 5-12 must have an adult supervising them at all times in the Makerspace. No children under 5 years are permitted in the Makerspace.
Cosplay Workshop: The Basics of DesignDate: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Want to learn about costume design and basic sewing tips from a fashion professional? Join us for a very special Cosplay Workshop! Ms. Amanda Morley from the Arkansas Fashion School will be here to lead a presentation all about cosplay. She’ll cover how to plan out a cosplay, basic hemming by hand, build books for competitions, and more! Registration is highly encouraged, but not required to attend. However, supplies and space are limited. Provided materials from the presentation will be given out to registered patrons first. Reserve your spot now! Rock ClubDate: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Come join us for a rocking good time! We will be learning and examining rocks, minerals, and fossils. Patrons will be supplied with a tumbled stone every visit. Ages 6-12
Dream Big Week Book ClubDate: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Join us this week as we read books from the Little People, Big Dreams series and learn more about famous and influential people. Each day Monday through Thursday, we will read a book and enjoy an activity based on the person we learn about. This program is a part of Dream BIG Day, a fun and inspiring global celebration of the limitless potential in every young mind! The goal for these Dream BIG Day events is to bring communities together—giving kids a chance to champion their passions, celebrate local heroes, and share the stories of inspiring people who have dreamed big and accomplished amazing things.

It will include stories, songs, bouncing rhymes, finger plays, shakers and scarves, plus free play time where parents and caregivers can chat and make new friends outside of the house while their little ones play in a safe and welcoming environment.

Rising Stars (FULL)Date: Friday, September 19, 2025 Does your child love to act or want to start acting but does not know where to begin? The Saline County Library is hosting an acting course. We will go over everything your child needs to learn to start acting. We will also put on a play at the end of the programming year in May. The class will be held weekly from 10-11 at the main library in Benton. Registration is required for this event.
