Tween Summer Camp

Summer Camp has come to Saline County Library! If you’ve never been able to attend a summer camp or sleep-away camp, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This is a registration ONLY camp for ages 9 – 12. We’ll have typical camp crafts, the occasional snack, and special guest counselors teaching our campers new skills.
Just like typical summer camp, be intentional when you sign up for Tween Summer Camp and respect the other campers’ and counselors’ time. We will expect you to be able to attend all six days of camp. Drop your child off at 9 AM when the library opens, and pick them up at noon on the dot for each day of camp. We will meet and start our days in the Makerspace every morning. Cancelling/Rescheduling Events
Staff reserve the right to modify, postpone and/or cancel events due to safety concerns. If an event is cancelled, notices will be on our Facebook, website, and doors (if if is in-person). Registrants will be notified if it is a registration required event.

Library Card and PIN
When registration asks for your library card number, you can put that in to save time and pull data from your library card account to auto fill the demographic questions. If you don’t have a library card or do not want to auto fill your information, just skip the library card and PIN questions.

By being at the Saline County Library and participating in public programs, you are granting our staff permission to photograph or video record you and/or your child. These photographs and videos may be used for social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, on our website, or on marketing or promotional materials.

During the first hour, we’ll all gather in the Teen Area and read whatever book we want – that means you can grab a book off the shelf, read on your e-reader or phone, or pick up a copy of whatever book Ms. Chelsea is reading that day. Then in the last 30-minutes we’ll all talk about the books we were reading, no useless book club questions here, just some people getting together to read and talk books!
