3rd Annual Joe E. Duvall Memorial Horseshoe Tournament returning to Bauxite Sept. 26
Community members and horseshoe players are invited to gather at the Rucker House in Bauxite for the 3rd Annual Joe E. Duvall Memorial Horseshoe Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
The commemorative sporting event serves as a charity fundraiser to support ongoing operations and heritage preservation at the Bauxite Museum. Read more below.
The tournament will feature randomly assigned teams, allowing participants of all skill levels to join in the competition.

Concessions will be available on-site throughout the day for players and spectators. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or personal outdoor seating to enjoy the matches and social atmosphere.
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward benefiting the Bauxite Museum and preserving the historical legacy of our local mining town.
