Longtime owners of Dale’s Donuts announced on Monday that they are looking sell the business.
Dale and Peggy Atchley opened Dale’s Donuts in 1978. Their son Joel Dale Atchley took over the business in 2002 after having worked there since 1983.
That’s a long time making donuts. Joel Dale announced on social media that they want to retire. But in the statement, they noted what most locals know – that it’s not just a business.
“We’re offering a rare opportunity to own a thriving iconic donut shop that has been a local favorite for generations,” Atchley said. “This isn’t just a business – its a literal cornerstone of the neighborhood, known for its loyal customer base, time tested recipes, and warm, nostalgic charm.”
The sale would include the business itself, the recipes, and the property with equipment and the 1247sf building. The donut shop sits on the corner of Military Road and Lillian Street. The address is 919 Military Road in Benton, Arkansas.
The family listed a phone number to call if you’re interested in buying the business and becoming the next owner – 501-303-0733 – serious inquiries only.
Joel Dale stated, “If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a successful small business with a strong foundation and even stronger community love, this could be your moment.”
