During Tuesday night’s Bryant City Council meeting, Mayor Allen Scott delivered a summary of the 2021 State of the City to attending council members and the public.
According to a press release, with the challenges that 2020 presented to the city, Mayor Scott discussed the positive elements of the year as well. The city implemented proactive measures to deal with the pandemic, worked with the Chamber of Commerce to provide support to our small businesses, and city staff quickly adapted to working from remote offices to ensure services to our residents had minimal impact.
“What we experienced was a growth in sales tax over the year,” the statement continued, “implementation of virtual community engagement activities to stay connected with our residents, parks improvements, benefits increases for public safety, and many more attributes.”
