The 9th Grade Bryant Hornets traveled to Benton to play in the 2021 Salt Cup for the Central Arkansas Junior High Conference (CAJHC) Championship at the Benton Sports Complex.
This was a much anticipated game between two rivals that were each 9-0 entering the game. I’m certain that many people would like to have seen more points scored by both Benton and Bryant, but the intensity of the game lived up to the billing. Both defenses played inspired and made things difficult for the opposing offense.
Bryant earned a 12 – 7 win and the CAJHC Championship.

Congratulations to both Benton and Bryant 9th Grade football teams. You both represented your schools and cities well this season. As the 2021 season comes to a close it is evident that each of these programs (Benton, Bryant) have bright futures on the gridiron in seasons to come. As fans, we are just happy to have been able to witness this season in person.
