There’s financial help available for Saline County residents and businesses who were affected by recent storms, and you can apply in person from May 27-31.

In response to the presidential disaster declaration issued on May 21, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) will offer assistance to Saline County residents impacted by the severe storms and flooding that occurred from April 2-22, 2025.
Saline County has partnered with the State of Arkansas, FEMA, and the SBA to open the Saline County State Survivor Assistance Location (SSAL) to apply for federal assistance for damages and losses not covered by insurance. Details on the location and hours of the SSAL can be found below.

The SBA has made available low interest federal disaster loans to Arkansas small businesses, private nonprofit (PNP) organizations and residents. More information on these programs below. Business Physical Disaster Loan
- For businesses and nonprofits
- May borrow up to $2,000,000: To repair or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets

- For homeowners and renters
- May borrow up to $100,000: To repair or replace personal property such as clothing, furniture, cars, and appliances
- May borrow up to $500,000: To repair or replace their primary residence

**Applicants may be eligible for a loan increase of up to 20% of their physical damages, as verified by the SBA, for mitigation purposes. Eligible mitigation improvements include insulating pipes, walls and attics, weather stripping doors and windows, and installing storm windows to help protect property and occupants from future disasters.**
Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)
- For eligible small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, nurseries and private non-profits impacted by financial losses directly related to this disaster
- EIDLs are for working capital needs caused by the disaster and are available even if the business or private non-profit did not suffer any physical damage
- May borrow up to $2,000,000: To pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills not paid due to the disaster
