There will be a General Election Runoff November 29, 2016 and early voting for City of Alexander voters and City of Bauxite voters will be able to begin casting ballots in the run-off election starting Tuesday, November 22.
Only registered voters in the city limits of Alexander and Bauxite are eligible to vote. Voters must have registered to vote by Oct 31, 2016.
The following seats are in a runoff, stemming from no candidates receiving 50% of the vote in two separate races in the general election on November 8th, 2016:
In Alexander, the seat of Ward-3 Position-1 is in a runoff between
- Harold Timmerman who received 206 votes or 40.39%, and
- Alderwoman Andrea Bearden who received 196 votes or 38.43%.
In Bauxite, the seat of Ward-3 Position-1 is in a runoff between
- Renee Chastain who received 97 votes or 43.30%, and
- Sarah Hoover who received 80 votes or 35.71.

Alexander & Bauxite voters may go to the Vote Here Center, 221 N. Main St., Benton to vote early from 8am – 430pm on each of the following dates :
- Tue, Nov. 22
- Wed, Nov. 23
- Mon, Nov 28
ELECTION DAY VOTING NOV 29
Only November 29, 2016 from 730am – 730pm, city residents may vote at the following locations:
- Alexander voters – at Woodland Hills Water Department, 15250 Highway 111, Alexander
- Bauxite voters – at Bauxite City Hall, 6005 Stanley Circle, Bauxite
Election Officials will begin opening, canvassing, and processing absentee ballots at 2:00 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 29, 2016 with tabulation beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the following location: Vote Here Center, 221 North Main, Benton, AR 72015.
