Two of Central Arkansas’ prominent home service providers are joining forces, as Benton-based Mid-Town Plumbing announced Wednesday the acquisition of local HVAC competitor Bain Heat & Air. Read more below.
The strategic merger unites the two organizations into a single residential and commercial service operation covering the broader Central Arkansas region. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to company officials, Bain Heat & Air will continue to operate under its existing brand identity during an initial transition phase. The combined organization has committed to retaining all current staff, allowing customers to interact with the same local technicians they have previously used.
I’m a statement, company representatives say the acquisition allows both firms to capitalize on operational efficiencies by streamlining scheduling and dispatch logistics across their respective plumbing and HVAC divisions.
Leaders from both companies noted that the integration creates a single point of contact for clients seeking comprehensive mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
Blue Collar Consulting acted as the financial advisory firm on the transaction.
“This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity to accelerate our vision,” said Chris Bain, owner of Bain Heat & Air, in a statement accompanying the announcement. “With Mid-Town’s resources and expertise, we will be able to deliver even greater value to our clients and scale our operations to new heights.”
Mid-Town Plumbing, established in 2013, has built its footprint on regional plumbing contracts. Bain Heat & Air, founded in 2018, specializes in commercial and residential climate control systems.
Jim Kuhlmann, President of Mid-Town Plumbing, emphasized that the acquisition was driven by a shared operational philosophy rather than a mere desire to scale. “This partnership is about more than growth — it strengthens our delivery of integrated services while ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients,” Kuhlmann said, adding that Bain’s customer-first reputation aligns directly with Mid-Town’s long-term regional objectives.
