At approximately 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Waffle House restaurant in reference to theft of services. Employees gave the description of three suspects who left the restaurant without paying for their meals, and gave the description of the vehicle they left in, which was located across the street at the Econo Lodge motel.
Officers made contact with one of the described suspects, 34-year-old Eric Anthony Fox, who was reportedly asleep in a hotel room clinching a bag in one hand and a large amount of cash in the other hand. During the investigation, officers located a digital scale with suspected methamphetamine residue, 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 22 grams of suspected marijuana, a suspected Clonazepam pill, 7 suspected Hydrocodone pills, and 3 unknown pills. Fox was taken into custody and transported to the Saline County Detention Center.
Fox faces the following charges:
- Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, class A felony;
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), class A misdemeanor;
- Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, class A misdemeanor;
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, class D felony;
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class D felony; and Theft of Services, class A misdemeanor.

the other person wasn’t charged even tho eric was not in the room when the drugs were found but the other person was and the other person has been left alone in the room up until the point the drugs were found and on top of that the room was not in his name but the other person’s name and the other person was in felony parole seems awful lot like a set up if you ask me……

Mind own it was obvious it was his and how would you know anyone else was in the room the report states nothing of another person but you can be relieved that the police let him leave that same day for being one of their own
