Ebony Turner was found by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office after she allegedly shot a firearm three times outside the store, located at 20440 Interstate 30, just west of Alcoa Road. No one was hurt in the incident.
According to Benton Police Chief Hodges on Thursday night, “No one was hit. It was over quickly. It was two people who obviously had an ongoing feud, unintentional found themselves in the same parking lot. Suspect is in custody.”
With the help of Sheriff’s Deputies finding Turner and her vehicle, Benton Police arrested her. She is charged with 3 counts of Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle in the Second Degree, which is a Class B Felony. She is also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Previous Update Apr 9, 2026 10pm – Police responded to a shooting call Thursday night at TJ Maxx/HomeGoods in Benton. No one was injured, and a suspect was quickly located and arrested.
According to the Benton Police Department, officers were dispatched around 8:00 p.m. on April 9, 2026, to TJ Maxx/HomeGoods at 20440 Interstate 30 for a “shooting without injury.”
Police say they secured the scene and confirmed that no victims were hurt.
A suspect was quickly identified, and a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued to surrounding law enforcement agencies. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect and vehicle, and the individual was taken into custody without further incident.
Police say the investigation remains active, and no additional details have been released at this time.
