BTown Sports Network breaks down the week in 2026 Benton Panthers Baseball & Softball.
The Lady Panthers stay dominant as they have all season. They started a doubleheader off with a 16-0 win and a 15-0 over Mount St. Mary’s. With the doubleheader, Audrey Digiovanna was perfect from the plate going 4-4 with 6 RBI. KB Moix followed that up by going 6-6 at the plate with 5 RBI of her own.
Lakin Griffin and Cameron Culclager, while not perfect at the plate, still went 5-6. Pitching shined as it always does with Rexie Crane pitching a no-hitter in game 1 while getting 8 batters to strikeout. Londyn Burrough pitched game 2, and was so close to a no-hitter because she only gave up a single hit and also struck out 8 batters. Read more below.
Greenwood was much of the same even if it wasn’t a shutout, Benton still won 9-2. Anna Claire Lackey had a great game as she was 2-3 at the plate with an RBI. Korbin Keene showed off the power going 2-4 with a homerun and racking up 2 RBI.
Audrey Digiovanna didn’t hit a homerun, but she did also go 2-4 with 2 RBI. Rexie Crane pitched in this game, and she gave up 2 hits and 4 walks but she had 0 earned runs and 10 K’s.
The baseball team had a couple of great games against Maumelle. Benton won the first game against Maumelle 6-0. Marcus Bates was 1-3 at the dish and scored 2 runs. Easton Snellings was 1-4 at the dish with a run scored and 2 RBI. Caleb Curry was 0-3 but managed 2 RBI and a walk.
Noah Roberson was 2-3 with a run scored. Blake Mitchem pitched in 7 innings and gave 3 hits and 2 walks, but he did have 5 K’s also. Benton won the second game 5-1. Sawyer Wilson went 2-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Marcus Bates was 1-2 with an RBI and a walk.
Easton Snellings was 0-2 but got a run in. Blake Mitchem was 1-1 with a run scored and drew two walks. Evin Campbell pitched 7 innings with 1 hit given up, 1 earned run, 2 walks, and 9 K’s.
The game against Bryant didn’t go how they wanted it to as they lost 6-4. Marcus Bates was 2-4 at the plate with a walk. AJ Houston was also 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Noah Roberson was 1-3 with 2 RBI. Austin Hill pitched 4.2 innings and he gave up 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, but in the process also had 6 K’s.
Both Panthers squads will try their best to stay consistent approaching the end of the season. Softball will try to make their opponents fear them. Baseball will look to pitch to perfection and hit all over the field.
