The City of Benton is looking for a provider to change their software for city planning, among other things. The City announced a bid request on Monday June 1st and wants to choose a vendor on June 22nd. Read more below.
The general information in Benton’s statements says, “This Request for Proposal is issued by the City of Benton to acquire a modern, fully integrated, cloud-based software solution for online permitting, planning and code enforcement.”
The deadline for questions from potential providers is June 9th, and the Bid Opening will begin on June 15th at 10:15 a.m.
The requirements are few, but they may be rigorous for some potential vendors. It’s important to read the RFP (Request for Proposals) thoroughly before submitting a bid. There is a process to follow, and the City will throw out bids that do not follow it strictly.
The first requirement is they’ll need paper and digital copies of the proposal, along with applicable taxes in the bid amount. Potential vendors are also required to submit several references and hold certain minimum amounts of Worker’s Compensation, Liability Insurance and more.
The City wants a completed project by December.
