Arkansas State Police (ASP) Troopers seized approximately six kilograms of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop Sunday morning on Interstate 57 in White County. Read more below.
According to authorities, the stop occurred around 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 48, when a Trooper pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado for a traffic violation.
During the stop, Troopers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered the suspected narcotics.
The driver, a 33-year-old man from south Texas, was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the White County Detention Center, where he was booked on charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance along with additional related offenses.
Investigators say the suspect told Troopers he was traveling to St. Louis, Missouri at the time of the stop.
The case remains under investigation.
