The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a juvenile following a reported large fight early Saturday morning in the Bauxite area. An arrest has been made in connection with the incident. Read more below.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. Sept. 19 to the 5300 block of N. Detonti Road regarding a report of a large fight in which a juvenile had been injured.

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and later died as a result of his injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

An arrest has been made in connection with the incident. The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional information about the arrest or the circumstances leading to the juvenile’s injuries.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office said no additional information will be released at this time and that further details will be provided as they become available.
