The next race for the Saline County Striders will be the Arkansas 20K, on October 24th. Get more information about races and the Striders at https://salinecountystriders.com.

The Saline County Striders presented a $7,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Saline County on Friday. The contribution represents the combined proceeds from the Arkansas Runner 2 Mile races held in 2025 and June 2026.

Race Director Chris Hall credits the success of the event to the support of local sponsors, volunteers, and participants. This year’s key sponsors included Benton Parks and Recreation, Bryant Family Pharmacy, and Last Resort Tackle Supply. Every registration and sponsorship directly benefits youth programs in the community. Hall stated that proceeds from this 2 Mile race with by Striders always benefit the Boys and Girls Club.

The Arkansas Runner 2 Mile is a community-driven effort to invest in the next generation and was run right next to the Club it is supporting. The race path begins on Airlane Drive beside the Club, makes a loop with Dale Avenue and Holland Parkway, takes Citizens Way to the Interstate 30 Frontage Road, then doubles back to end on the south side of the Club.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s race such a success,” said Hall. “Your participation has a lasting impact, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We look forward to seeing everyone back at next year’s Arkansas Runner 2 Mile as we continue running for a stronger community!”
