As summer vacation kicks into high gear, Benton Public Schools is stepping up to ensure that local students and youth stay well-nourished over the break. According to a Benton Public Schools, the district has officially launched its annual Summer Feeding Program, offering completely free meals to children and teenagers in the community.
The program, which runs from June 1st through July 31st, is open to anyone aged 18 and under. In an effort to alleviate the financial burden on families during the summer months, the district emphasizes that there is absolutely no cost for participation, and all eligible youth are welcome to join.
Two local elementary schools will serve as the primary hubs for the distribution of breakfast and lunch:
Angie Grant Elementary
Ringgold Elementary
Meals will be served Monday through Friday at both locations under the following daily schedule:
Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Holiday Notice: Families planning to utilize the program should note that all sites will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
District organizers are eager to welcome local youth to the school cafeterias to enjoy nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment.
Parents looking for more updates or detailed menu information are encouraged to keep an eye on the Benton Public Schools official communication channels as the summer progresses.
